Who are we?
Lunenburg County Pride Society is a volunteer-led, non-profit organization that advocates for and celebrates the 2SLGBTQIA+ community across Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia—including the towns of Lunenburg, Bridgewater, Mahone Bay, Chester, and the surrounding rural areas. We are dedicated to building a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment where people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions feel seen, supported, and empowered.
Our
Story
Lunenburg County Pride was born out of a desire to create a space where queer voices are uplifted and celebrated in Nova Scotia’s South Shore. Since our founding we’ve grown from a small group of passionate community members into a trusted and active organization. Whether through Pride marches, advocacy work, or inclusive programming, our mission remains the same: to make Lunenburg County a place where everyone can live authentically and proudly.
Our Mission
To advocate for and support 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals of all ages and their allies by building a more inclusive, educated, and respectful community across the South Shore of Nova Scotia.
Our Vision
A thriving South Shore community where people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions are embraced, empowered, and free to live their truth.
